The mark consists of a circle with a banner at the top says BIRTHPLACE OF THE MARINES November 10, 1775. Below the banner there is a smaller circle overlocking the bottom containing an eagle holding an anchor that has a rope around the anchor and the bottom park of the eagles claw. Above the eagle it there are 13 stars. Inside the larger circle it says Tun TAVERN 125-171 SOUTH FRONT ST. PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA. Below the words there is a star and then two stylized lines on each side.
